Queer and Eligible in the Most Single City in America...But Where Are the Lesbians?
Where do they hang out in Philly? Asking for our friend. Because if a date with Alex is anything like our interview with her, it will mean non-stop laughter, an adorable dose of neurosis, and endearing anecdotes about her family members.

Nominated by her friend Knar, whom she met while they were interning together in Somerville, MA, Alex was always used to having access to a community of queer women, go-to spaces where everyone queer and allied socialized together, and with all that—never a shortage of romantic prospects.
Where does one go to meet single queer women in Philly? In Alex’s experience, there are few havens for lesbians…and sometimes she just wants to go out to the places she likes to go with friends of all orientations and get her flirt on…but the question is always if the object of her flirtation is putting up a green flag. Philly was recently designated the most single big city in America, so as she points out, “why isn’t everyone just dating each other?”
When we interviewed Alex we kept joking that we had better feature the interview fast, because there’s no way she would still be single by the time her interview launched. And last we checked, there was a promising budding connection 👀👀. No big surprise…
She’s charming, self-aware, and loyal. She adores her family and moved back home to Philly to be closer to them. She is spousal material, and sees her retirement scenario as twin rocking chairs overlooking the beach with her wife. Bonus points if you get along with her beloved brother and pitti-ZeeZee.. She loves to cook elaborate meals…no Trader Joe’s hacks…she’s busting out the pasta maker and making your meal from scratch. Why? Because she is as caring as Kendrick Lamar is prolific…and only just a little bit neurotic. You can chill and be romanced and that’s A-OK. But if you date Alex, tell her how you are feeling, because she’s big on communication. Aloof types may need to look elsewhere. Check out the interview…you’ll be smitten with this girl.
